Welcome to the colourful world of movies this June which looks forward showering audience with a bundle of new films to watch and enjoy. As summer approaches expectation, gear up for June 2024’s selection of the most-awaited movie releases.
1. Bad Boys: Ride or Die
The highly anticipated action comedy «Bad Boys: Ride or Die» - a new movie featuring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. This fourth sequel of «Bad Boys» series is expected to be a sheer energetic, action packed movie also accompanied by some hearty humor.
Senegalese duo Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah who directed «Bad Boys for Life» also come back to direct this latest film. The scenario is written by Chris Bremner while the movie is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Will Smith, and Doug Belgrad. Smith is joined by Lawrence and Hudgens alongside Alexander Ludwig, Paola Núnez, Jacob Scipio, Eric Dane and Ioan Gruffudd.
2. The Bikeriders
The long awaited crime-based movie «The Bikeriders», which is directed by Jeff Nichols, depicts the midwestern Vandals motor club and its activities in a decade. As the years go by, and through the various character experiences, the club transforms from just a meeting point of outsiders in that town to a real gang endangering their way of life.
Directed by David Jacobson, and written by Jacobson and Brent Huff, «The Bikeriders» has been applauded after it first screened at the Telluride Film Festival. As a riveting drama of the outlaw biker culture, has received off screen appreciation for realistic portrayal and stellar performances is ready to captivate viewers.
3. Kinds of Kindness
«Kinds of Kindness» is 2024 absurdist dark comedy anthology film created by Yorgos Lanthimos that comes with script written by the director and Efthimis Filippou. It features Emma Stone, Jesse Plemons, Willem Dafoe, Margaret Qualley, Hong Chau, Joe Alwyn Mamoudou Athie and Hunter Schafer.
«Kinds of Kindness» as it has been stated, is a ‘triptych fable’ and implies three separate narratives which are, however, interconnected to some extent. The first part “The Death of R. M. F” shows a man who decides to liberate himself from the control of a powerful employer and establish his own authority. The second, ‘R. M. F. is Flying’ portrays a man whose wife whom he found gone, only to be reported missing, returns and yet he is suspicious she was a fake. The last section of this film “R. M. F. Eats a Sandwich” is focused on the assignments of a cultist who has to track a man capable of bringing people back to life.
4. A Quiet Place: Day One
«A Quiet Place: Day One» is an American apocalyptic horror film scripted and directed by Michael Sarnoski, however, it was produced by John Krasinski from a story by Sarnoski. It carries the functions of the spin-off prequel and the third part of the film franchise «A Quiet Place».
«A Quiet Place: Day One» shows the horrifying beginnings of the bloody attack that made the Abbott family and all other survivors live in the dark. The film will try to show the beginning of panicked people’s response to the appearance of the insane monsters that hunt using sound.
5. Inside Out 2
«Inside Out 2» is the long-awaited continuation of one of the Pixar’s masterpieces, planned and announced in September, 2022. The first movie is about a youngster and her first, confusing, emotions after the character of Riley moves to San Francisco and the second one is a coming of age movie. New creative leadership is provided by Kelsey Mann, who is a director of the film, whereas Dave Holstein is a screen writer.
In the forthcoming sequel «Inside Out 2» we come across with Riley a teenage girl who is now 13 and her five familiar emotions again – Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust. The emotional headquarters undergo a significant change with the introduction of four new emotions: They make Riley emotions experience Anxiety, Ennui, Envy, and Embarrassment and some changes in the emotional situation.
